Transfers out of Physics
Questions about transfers should be directed to Toni Pitts.
To change colleges within UIUC
Freshmen (including students entering with sophomore standing) must remain in the college to which they were admitted for one year.
1. Print out a transfer advising agreement and obtain the signature of a dean at the college to which you hope to transfer.
2. Have the dean record the required GPA on the advising agreement.
3. Find out under what circumstances you may transfer (required courses, number of total hours accumulated, etc.).
4. Ask when you can transfer (it may be after your Spring 2006 grades are recorded), i.e., before fall classes begin.
5. Make an appointment with an adviser in the department into which you hope to transfer to discuss your schedule.
changing Departments or curricula within the college in which you now are enrolled
1. Review the various guidelines and policies for LAS or Engineering, (watch for these to be updated for the upcoming fall semester) along with specific requirements for particular departments.
2. If you are unable to leave Physics at this time, make an appointment with Toni Pitts. Please let Linda Lorenz know that you have made the appointment so she can change your adviser assignment and have your folder in Toni's office for your advising appointment.
