Physics Business Office

The Physics Business Office, 203 Loomis, processes requisitions, purchase orders, travel vouchers, miscellaneous vouchers, keys requests, telephone service, payroll, research proposals, equipment inventory, accounting, and employment documents. 

The Business Office is also responsible for other service areas, including copying and printing. These pages provide only a brief overview of what we do; we invite you to visit us in 203 Loomis at your convenience. Your secretary can also provide you with a wealth of information and assistance about the department and the university.

We can keep you out of trouble

The things that cause the biggest problems are requisitions/purchasing, travel, hiring procedures, and office and building security. Please stop by 203 Loomis to discuss appropriate practices and procedures before you commit, order, or purchase ANYTHING that is to be charged to the University. 

Travel expenses that are to be paid by university funds requires advance approval; see Darren Wright for details. 

The University has strict procedures that we must follow when hiring any employee, from professors to undergraduate student workers. Again, please work with us. 

Finally, office and building security requires your constant cooperation; please keep your offices and labs locked, and do not let unauthorized individuals into the building.
